The race will start in the town of Tambores (meaning drums) in the region of Tacuarembó and Paysandú. The course will be over 160 kms with an exciting variety of terrain in 8 stages of rogaining, mountain biking and trekking.
This year there are 6 races taking place in; Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Ecuador, plus 4 races in the Brazil Series.
Team Brazil Multisport proved once again that they are the toughest and fastest adventure racing team in South America, but this time the world #3 ranked team faced a tough fight and the race was very close until the finish line.
Between February 13-16 in the hilly regions of Lavalleja and Maldonado in Southeastern Uruguay, the ARWS South American Championship will be hosted by the Charrua Extremo race.
