About ARWS Asia

The ARWS Asia Series is a collection of the best mid-distance adventure races in the Asia region.

Event organisers set unique courses to test athletes over 125-250km of non-stop day and night racing in the disciplines of trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, and navigation.  Participating teams earn points towards their Asia Ranking.

Endurance Category LogoRegional Series races are in the Endurance category defined by the International Adventure Racing Association (IARA).

In 2026 the Himalayan region of Arunachal Pradesh in India will be the venue for Adventure@Mechukha, which is a non-stop , 3-5 day expedition race and an ARWS World Championship Qualifier.  (The race is not part of the regional series.)  Participating teams will earn points towards the ARWS global rankings and the winning team qualifies for the World Championship.

"The ARWS Borneo Sebauh Adventure Race 2026 is a strategic community-based endurance sporting event designed to position Sebauh, Bintulu, Sarawak as a rising destination for adventure tourism, eco-sports, and sustainable rural economic development. The event will be hosted by the Sebauh District Office and supported by the Bintulu Resident Office. The event has also been personally briefed to Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, and YBhg. Mr. Mohd Amirul Rizal bin Abdul Rahim, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, both of whom have expressed their support for the initiative.
