ITERA-lite is designed to be a do-able stepping stone to expedition length events for new adventure racers, a training opportunity for established teams, and of course, a great race and adventure in its own right!

Expect around 300km of non-stop multisport action with stages comprising trekking, mountain-biking, kayaking, navigation and special stages – we aim to take you to some hidden gems.

Nestled high in the Allegheny Mountains, the race course will explore the diverse and rugged terrain of the Canaan Valley.

The stories are legendary – with the first event in 2005, Hells Bells 24hr Adventure Race has a proud history in Australia as one of the country’s longest running adventure races.

Based on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast, competitors travel from all over Australia and overseas. It is a tough event and the highlight of many competitors calendars.

The race will officially start on Saturday morning at 8:00am and the course will close at noon on Sunday.
There will be no 'dark zones' planned. You will manage your own time. If you need to sleep, go for it, but you do it on the clock.
You will need a mountain bike (min front shock) for this one. I will supply the canoes, you will supply your own paddle gear, I will provide your maps, and lots of mosquitos.

Endurance Quest is an adventure race in the Finish archipelago. The race will be 24 hours and 250 km in length, and is to be raced in mixed teams of four people.

To finish full-race, you will have to face up to 90 km and 5,000 m of elevation gain in 24h. But optional kites and time gates are here so everyone could finish and enjoy his journey.

A 2 days Stage Race plus a prologue involving local youth. Our goal has always been and continues to be to promote ecotourism through mountain sports in Mexico, explore the wonders and challenges that nature has to offer and experience endless emotions together with you.

Top Dog 24

A a classic non-stop 24hr adventure race involving trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and other adventure disciplines. Mixed, Male or Female teams of two or four must navigate their way unsupported through an arduous 120+km course that is only revealed to them hours before the race.

Huairasinchi is the adventure race with more editions in the history of the sport (20). The race re-discovers hidden places in the extraordinary biodiverse Ecuador country. Every race is completely different from the past ones, visiting rainforest lowlands, cloud forest, and snow caped volcanoes. Racers are immersed in a rich cultural experience with local habitants and indigenous communities around the course. The race directors work closely with the local communities to promote their culture and explore ancient trails and areas that are not in the normal tourism offer.

This will be the final race of the ARWS Africa Series. The race will take place at Arpa Adventure farm just outside of Fouriesburg. The race will take you into the Maluti Mountains and surrounds, with breath taking views and challenges.

Namma Adventure Race is Karnataka’s Only ARWS Asia Qualifier Race. The course is set to experience local culture, adventure, and adrenaline that Karnataka has in store.

Montane Kong Vinter is an adventure race in the Copenhagen area that gives the participants some unique experiences in nature. Montane Kong Winter is a team race where orienteering, running, mountain biking, climbing and canoeing (only the master route) are the main ingredients. The route is in beautiful nature with many spectacular features along the way.

Legend Expedition race has an 8 year vision to circumnavigate Australia starting New South Wales and continuing each year around Australia to Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and finishing in the Australian Capital Territory.

The 2025 edition of Legend heads to the wilds of Tasmania and will travel through some of the last true wilderness in the world.

The Legend Expedition Race is a classic non-stop 6 day adventure race involving trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and other adventure disciplines. Teams of two or four must navigate their way unsupported through an epic 500+km course.

Teams race day and night pushing themselves to the ultimate limits of human endurance. All team members must complete all sections of the course and they must never be separated by more than 100m.

This race will take place in one of the wildest and most beautiful landscapes in the planet, the Chilean Andes Mountain range Fire Belt. Where the best athletes of the world will row across crystal clear rivers and lakes, they will hike great mountains, and above all, will conquer the summit of an amazing volcano. Orientation will take them across millenary araucaria forests, and peradventure, across the glaciers that surround the area.

The Bimbache Raid was organized in Spain between 2003 and 2010, and in its seven editions it was one of the most important races on the international scene where the best teams in the world participated.

Chapada Diamantina is a mountainous region located in the interior of Bahia, known for its lush landscapes, waterfalls, caves, trails, and unique rock formations. The city of Lençóis is considered the gateway to Chapada Diamantina, being a charming historic municipality with colonial houses, cobblestone streets, and a welcoming atmosphere. Lençóis offers a complete tourist infrastructure, with accommodation options, restaurants, and travel agencies to explore the natural beauty of the region. It is an ideal destination for eco-tourism and adventure lovers.

“Die Ratel”, meaning Honey Badger in Afrikaans (a local language in South Africa) is set to be a raw old-school adventure - alike to a Honey Badger, tough, honest and a challenge so worth taking on!

Adventure Race India Championship is India’s National level Championship event open to everyone. Every year NthAdventure hosts India's toughest Adventure Race in exotic / toughest parts of India. 

With every race we want to let everyone experience the Indian Adventure, culture, hospitality and take home only the memories. 

All our races are gateway to the Expedition Style racing. If you are a newbie or seasoned athletes, this is one race you should never miss. It's time to start training for the next edition. 

Rajd Beskidy is the expedition race held in Poland and Slovakia. The total lenght of the race is about 550 km and has the typical mountain character with about 16.000 m of elevation gain.

Kicking off in Żywiec, the short course route proceeds east and south through mountain ranges, entering Slovakia. It then takes a grand loop within the Slovakian Orawa region before retracing its path back to Poland.

Now in its third edition, the 2025 Endless Mountains Adventure Race is heading north to the Green Mountain State! Over seven days, teams will get to explore the full expanse of what Vermont has to offer: rolling mountains, lush forests, majestic waterways, iconic gravel, and twisty single track on a course that calls to mind the Untamed New England expeditions of years past and pairs it with the classic Rootstock flair that you have come to expect from Endless: rewarding checkpoints, a close-knit community feel, and some of the most challenging navigation and route choice on the ARWS circuit.

Raid Gallaecia returns in 2025 as an expedition race following its last World Championship experience in 2021. A new destination where teams will explore the South of Galicia in Spain and the North of Portugal.

Originally the brainchild of James Thurlow, ITERA is now organised by Durty Events - one of the most experienced adventure sport companies in the UK with over 200 events behind us. Paul McGreal was Race or Event Director for ITERA 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024. The Course Planner is ex-World Champion Tom Gibbs (also Course Planner in 2014, 2019, 2022 and 2023).The idea of showing off the country at its finest is what motivates the team behind the ITERA.

ITERA is a made-up word - ITER – Latin for “journey”.. and the “A” stood for little more than the ADVENTURE

The teams will be racing over 600km through Scotland over five days in August 2024. The Race HQ and Finish Line will be near Aviemore in the stunning Cairngorm Mountains. The start location and the course? You'll have to wait until August 2024 to find out!
