THE AMAZONS AUSTRALIA

Race Description:

"The Amazons Australia is a part of the Adventure Racing World Series - Oceania Region.
It is an All-Women's 3 Day Stage Adventure Race. The first edition in 2025, was the first ever ARWS all-female adventure race.
The 2nd edition will be located on the Cassowary Coast, Tropical North Queensland, Australia at Mission Beach - 4-10 July 2026.

The Amazons Australia will see all-female teams of two embark on a 3-day extreme adventure, combining trekking, navigation, mountain biking, paddling and mystery challenges to test their skills and resilience in the heart of Australia's rugged and brutal tropics. As this is a stage event, teams will race by day, then rest, relax and recover by night.

They will battle mother nature’s dense rainforests, crocodile-inhabited rivers, unpredictable weather, fatigue, mental and physical challenges in a bid to be crowned Amazon Warriors.

Designed to bring elite adventure racers, athletes from other disciplines, adventurers, friends and mothers together on the same humbling playing field, The Amazons Australia promises to transcend boundaries and create life-changing bonds​"
