ARWC PORTUGAL 2009 IS SOLD OUT / 2010 SITE ANNOUNCED |

With 7 of the nine qualifiers for this year's Championship already held all the attention is now turned to the 3 remaining chances to win a free entry in Portugal.
Untamed New England and Explore Sweden are the remaining events of the Adventure Racing World Series that will qualify teams for the final, scheduled for the 5th November in the central mountains of Portugal.
Last night in the peaceful spanish village of Aguilar del Campo the prize giving ceremony of ARWS Bimbache Extreme Castilla-León 09 was held.
After the normal compliments to all the participants and race staff Geoff Hunt, the leader of the Adventure Racing World Series and Championship sealed with a handshake the commitment of organizing the 2010 AR World Championship in the beautifull spanish province of Castilla León.
Geoff mentioned the important contribution of Bimbache Extreme over the years for the World Series and the fine quality of this year's event, which for all athletes was the best edition ever. This recognition was a tribute to the effort of the organizing team lead by António de La Rosa over the past years.
For Iberian adventure racers, this was an expected announcement which reflects the development that AR has experienced over the past years with both Portugal and Spain cooperating and developing high standard national series and championships.
To the Portuguese ARWC organizing committee this announcement reinforces the confidence and responsibility for November's World Championship and elevates the notoriety of the Iberian Peninsula as the World's finest playground for Adventure Racing.
