The first bits of information are arriving from Portugal regarding the race for this years world championship.
“The race will have 124 hours long for a total estimated length of 800 km with at least 18 000 m of positive gain. We will have an estimate of 15 different sport discipline with great focus for MTB (we are planning an AVALANCHE DH MASS START) :):):)
The dates will be from 5 Nov to 15 Nov 2009.
The provisional schedule is:
Thursday, 5th Nov - Lisbon Airport Transfer
Friday, 6th Nov - Opening Ceremony, International Conference and Registration
Saturday, 7th Nov - Transfer to Start
Sunday, 8th Nov, 10:00 - Race Start
Friday, 13th Nov, 14:00 - Race Finish (124 hours)
Saturday, 14th Nov, 16:00 - Price Giving Ceremony, Dinner and Party
Sunday, 15th Nov - Lisbon Airport Transfer
