Teams from around the world are making their way now towards Brazil and the small town of Jericoacoara inn the North West in the quest to win this years Adventure Racing World Championship.

Against these world class teams are another 22 teams of the best adventure race teams from around the world - teams who have won individual ARWorld Series races and other great events. And in Brazil 29 teams will race to defend the honour of the country and to experience the highest level of adventure racing ever seen in the country.
Ahead of them is a course rated as the 'most expeditionary ever in Brazil' The Ecomotion/Pro ARWC 2008 , 6th edition will happen on the states of Piauí, Ceará and Maranhão, with a race course of approximately 550 km, The venue couldn't be better and more challenging. with extreme hot weather Brazilian Northeast - with temperatures up to 40ºC
The disciplines will be: orientation, double kayak, sailing, trekking, MTB, rope skills and rappel.
