Entries Close on 10th May
The date is fast approaching for the close of entries and full payment of team entry fees. A more stringent refund policy and larger initial deposit was introduced this year to ensure that only teams who are really serious about taking part in this great expedition entered. Organisers are expecting entries to sell out before the closing date.
XPD Welcomes Salomon
Organisers would like to welcome on board two new sponsors - Salomon. The Australian sponsorship manager for Salomon stopped in at the 3rd edition and was so impressed and inspired by the expedition competitors were to undertake, that potential sponsorship discussions began then and there. Salomon produce just about any item of outdoor gear you could image. They are well know in adventure racing circles for their backpacks and shoes. Organisers look forward to a great relationship with Salomon and also to passing on some great Salomon products to competitors this year.
XPD Also Welcomes Smartwool
Smartwool are one of the worlds leading manufacturers of woolen clothing and have a top range of products to suit active and adventurous activities – perfect for XPD competitors! The sponsorship manager at Smartwool is a previous competitor in XPD and knows what clothing works in adventure racing and what doesn’t. She has a special surprise lined up for competitors at the 4th edition but that is all we can say for now!
Book to be Produced for 4th Edition
Renowned adventure racing photographer Wouter Kingma will be back to the 4th edition as the official event photographer. As in the previous edition we look forward to working with him to produce a highest quality book to capture a pictorial journey of the competitors as they take on the expedition and the race that is XPD. The books will be available for pre-purchase or on sale at the event. |
